Events take place across the country throughout the winter season. They range from Members' Events, Meetings, and Partner Collaboration Events.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the CSIA in all six Regions to suspend Events with any indoors, and gatherings until further notice, based on recommendations by Government Health Authorities. When we are able to host safe gatherings in accordance to guidelines, they will appear here. We look forward to hosting these exciting Events once again when the time comes, thank you for your continued patience.

The CSIA Annual General Meeting of the Members, took place on Saturday November 14, 2020 at 7:00 PM EST.

AGM NOTICE – The CSIA Annual General Meeting of the Members will be held in accordance with the CSIA General By-Laws.

ELECTION OF DIRECTORS – In accordance with CSIA’s General By-Laws, the term of office for the Director of the Quebec and Central Regions will expire on May 1, 2021. Any Member in good standing who wishes to stand for election to the Board of Directors for either position in question must, no later than November 30, 2020, submit a Nomination Form, supported by not less than ten (10) Members. Click here for further details.

WIS - Women in Skiing

Welcome all Members. WIS Committee...Tracey, Annie, Kathy, Heather. 

New for 2020-2021, join the WIS Facebook group open to all female CSIA Members current and past, with all Regions represented. Group name is Women in Skiing / WIS / Le ski au féminin / Canada. Click here. 

The Women in Skiing Committee hosted an online forum (Zoom) to meet the current Committee Members, and learn more about the past and current WIS initiatives (like the Gender Equity Policy and BPC).

Members of all ages and genders were welcome to attend. This was the first of a series of online discussions aimed at the efforts to increase and support female CSIA Members at every level of the organization. We showed for those interested, how to register for WIS Pro Days or Camps. Participants on the call won some draw prizes!

Pro Days ATL:

The CSIA is very excited to announce that we will be hosting Pro Days on March 17 (L1) and 18 (L2), 2021 at Crabbe Mountain in New Brunswick.

Other similar Programs are planned for NB, PEI and NL, but because of travel restrictions at this time we have to wait until the situation changes before setting firm dates in those Provinces. Keep checking your email for additional eblasts and our Facebook CSIA Atlantic page for updates. 

Pro Days are an awesome experience and opportunity to train, develop your understanding, your technical and teaching skills. The goal is not to deliver a planned content but rather to simply address your interest and development needs, to help you accelerate toward your goals. This formula allows us to customize the approach and content to meet your needs and expectations. This is also a great opportunity to share with other like-minded passionate CSIA Members.

Level 1 Pro Day: Broaden your scope and know-how! Take your skiing and teaching to the next level.

Level 2 Pro Day: Apply and enhance your skills in a variety of terrain and explore tasks designed to help your learners achieve results quickly.

Level 3 Pro Day: Master your skiing and training as a model for others looking to follow in your footsteps.

The Annual General Meeting of Members of the CSIA Central was held on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 6:30 PM CST. This year, due to the risk associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Member’s Annual General Meeting was held in a live webcast.

Proxies

Members who are unable to attend the meeting may appoint a Proxy Holder by completing and returning the Proxy Form. No Member shall be allowed to vote more than 10 proxies except the Chair of the meeting who shall vote all Proxies appointing him as Proxy Holder. Click here to access the Proxy Form. Once completed the Proxy should be emailed to lcambise@snowpro.com, no later than Tuesday February 16, 2021.
